"Yes, there really is only one Peachtree Street in Atlanta, and it runs through the center of Midtown.

Although this neighborhood is the actual birthplace of that epic page-turner, Gone With the Wind, you won't find peanuts, peaches, and pecans here! Midtown is Atlanta's neighborhood known best for entertainment, the arts, and cultural institutions.

Each chapter includes several Midtown Atlanta gems that are “hidden in plain sight” everyday. How many can you identify? In case you’re stumped, we’ve included a map.

In these pages, we present Midtown Atlanta through the eyes of its resident artists and photographers. Their images capture a vibrant neighborhood, enthusiastically building a better future while preserving glimpses of its past.

Midtown Atlanta’s constantly renewing cityscape is the work of the city planners, architects, real estate developers and brokers who collaborated to bring their monumental works to life in our midst."  -Atlanta's Midtown Mile
